How do I set up my product inventory: On the Following Days

This is the next step when setting up your products in Resmark under the Inventory tab. These instructions will walk you through all of the options available to you, select one of the three options below:

Note: The options in this step may vary depending on your time and duration settings. This step is disabled if you selected variable dates (skip to the next step.

Options

Time = Repeat several times per day
Time = Do not repeat several times per day > Duration = Start and end the same day
Time = Do not repeat several times per day > Duration = Span multiple days

Option 1: Repeat several times per day

If your time settings look like this, you are in the right place:

In this step, you will define the start and end time for your inventory, and how often your inventory repeats per day. For example, if your initial appointment start time is at 9 AM, and your product repeats every 120 minutes, then RESMARK will generate inventory at 9:00, 11:00, 1:00, etc until the end time hits. No start times will be created beyond your defined end time, but appointments can exceed your end time. If this step is still unclear, this article will go into more depth below.

To begin, define your product duration and how often the inventory repeats (as seen in the screenshot below). This setting is quite flexible, and allows for overlapping inventory or even creating a gap between each appointment.

Here are additional examples of how this feature could be used:
Duration = 2 Hours
Repeat = 60 Minutes
This will allow your product to start every hour after your initial start time. Since the product lasts 2 hours, there will be an overlap between each appointment.

Duration = 1 Hour
Repeats = 120 Minutes
This will allow your product to start every two hours after your initial start time. Since the product only lasts 1 hour, there will be a 1-hour gap between each start time.

Next, you'll need to set your start and end times, the default is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Start Time: What is the start time for your first appointment of the day?
End Time: What is the cut-off start time for your final appointment of the day? Appointment durations can exceed the end time, but can't begin after the end time.

You can customize your hours based on the day, or apply the same hours to all days. Uncheck the box above the day if you're closed on any specific days.

In the example included below:
Duration = 1 Hour 30 Minutes
Repeat Every = 120 Minutes (2 hours)
On The Following Days = 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sunday through Saturday)

With this configuration, the following timeslots will be set up (Sunday through Saturday):
9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Note: In the previous example 5:00 PM is the latest time-slot available due to the Repeat Every and End Time restrictions that I defined at the start of this step. If I change the end time to 7:00 PM, it would meet the Repeat Every 120 Minutes requirement and would add an additional 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM appointment.

After completing this step, you can skip forward to General Settings so that you can define a few more things before generating your inventory. If there are unique days that have special hours (such as holidays, or promotional dates), you can adjust those unique days after your inventory is generated.

Option 2: Do not repeat several times per day > Start and end the same day

If your duration settings look like this, you are in the right place, if not try Option 3:

On this step you can do the following:

Set your product start time
Set your product end time
Add additional time slots
Disable days that you're closed for business

From the example above, my settings are as follows:

Sunday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Monday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Friday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM; 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM; 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

After completing this step, you can skip forward to General Settings so that you can define a few more things before generating your inventory. If there are unique days that have special hours (such as holidays, or promotional dates), you can adjust those unique days after your inventory is generated.

Option 3: Do not repeat several times per day > Span multiple days

If your duration settings look like this, you are in the right place, if not try Option 2:

If your products span multiple days, then the first thing you'll need to do is define the duration of your inventory. You can set the default number of days your product lasts, you can also customize if certain start days have a longer duration (see example below):

Next, you'll need to define the start time and end time. You can customize start times for each individual day, or have the same time applied to all days.

After completing this step, you can skip forward to General Settings so that you can define a few more things before generating your inventory.
