How do I set up my product inventory: Automation Settings
Create your inventory automatically or have it update up to a certain date.
Wait! - Skip this step if you selected Variable Dates when configuring your date settings.
When creating inventory with Regular Recurring Dates, you have two options for automation:
Set your inventory once and the system will continue to create it for your forever - or at least until you pause your Inventory Template.
Inventory will only be created up to your maximum advance purchase day
Example: If you set your maximum advance purchase to 365 days, one additional day of inventory will be created once a day, every day. This will make it so you always have a rolling 365 days worth of inventory.
You never have to come back to this page unless you want to change settings.
Set your Operates From settings
Set the dates your product needs inventory generated for, if it's year-round then stick with January First until December 31st. If you only operate this product for the summer, then you'd want June 20th until September 22nd. Choose the dates applicable to your operating dates.
No inventory will be generated for dates outside of your Operates From dates.
You will come back to this page every time you want to create more inventory.
Once you have your settings in place you can move onto the next step Generate Inventory,(GEN INV) which will provide additional details about templates and inventory.
