How to convert your WaiverSign signing URL to a QR Code

If you want a quick and easy way for guests to pull up your WaiverSign URL from their own mobile devices, a QR code is an easy way to do that.

This tutorial is for anyone who wants to easily allow their customers or guests to pull up their WaiverSign Signing Link from their phone. Nearly all modern smartphones can natively read QR Codes from the camera app built into their phone.
With most phones, both iPhone and Android it's as simple as pointing the camera at the QR code and clicking on a notification that pops up on your screen.
Additionally, QR Codes are a good substitute for setting up Kiosk Signing Stations

If you prefer a video tutorial, you can view that here.

To create a QR Code for your Waiver, do the following:

Generate your WaiverSign Signing Link

Visit the third party website, QR Code Generator
Warning: This is a 3rd party service. You do not need to create an account with them to generate a code. Do not sign up for an account with QR Code Generator unless you want access to their paid, premium features. If you do sign up for a free trial or paid subscription your documents will expire at the end of your trial or subscription. Codes generated without logging in will never expire.

Paste your WaiverSign Signing Link into QR Code Generator's static URL field

Download the JPG file (the QR Code Image File should download after about 10-20 seconds)

Once downloaded, you just need to find an easy way to share your QR Code with guests. The most popular option we've seen with our clients is to take the QR Code Image and put it into a Microsoft Word Doc, and then adding a caption such as "Sign Our Waiver From Your Phone For Faster Check-In"

Or, if your guest services counter has a TV on display, you could potentially put this QR code and a message on that display.

As a fallback method, we recommend adding a Bitly.com shortened URL below the displayed QR Code so that anyone unfamiliar with QR codes could easily type in a shortened URL. To do this, simply go to Bitly.com, sign up for a free account, and then paste your URL into their system to shorten it to something much easier to type in.
For example, this: https://app.waiversign.com/e/59a85113d0a18245272d6205/doc/59d3b813ef3a7375a69a061a?event=none
Could become, this: https://bit.ly/moabcheckin
