How to use CSV Exports for marketing

How to export the data from your signed documents in WaiverSign to create a mailing list.

Did you know that when someone signs your waiver, the questions they answered are available in a CSV file?  You can download this to your personal device and make adjustments to it so you can upload it to your marketing application.

Export your file from WaiverSign

Go to WaiverSign >> Signed Documents and to the top-right of the signed documents list is Export Contacts. You can refine your export by searching using a date range, name, email, or custom field.  For more information on how to do that, please see this article.

Find new subscribers

Open the CSV file and sort by customers that have opted-in to mailings.  Look for the column marked Subscribed. TRUE indicates that they have opted in, while FALSE indicates that they do not want to receive mailings.

Prepare your import

Lastly, edit the CSV based on the instructions given from your mailing list application. You should be able to find instructions on how to do this by looking in the help or support sections of their website.
MailChimp: Import Contacts to Mailchimp
Constant Contact: Upload a Contact List into Constant Contact from a File or Spreadsheet

Note: The two linked articles above are to external sites -- if they fail to load, this is likely because the external site has removed the article. Please contact WaiverSign support in that scenario and we're happy to assist.
